Conrad and Sons is a local general landscaping company that has been in business since 2002. They are currently contracted to set up 6X12 chain link temporary fencing around areas affected by the Camp Fire. They are currently looking to fill 4 General Laborer positions. This position will be labor intensive, and will lifting 50 – 100 pounds on a continuous basis with help. Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times, vests, gloves, and hardhats will be provided by the employer.

 

Job Duties and Requirements:

  • Must have reliable transportation to the job yard in Paradise
  • Must have experience hauling, and backing up dump trailers
  • Must be able to lift 50 – 100 pounds on a regular basis with help
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather
  • Some construction knowledge is preferable
  • Must have some knowledge of hand tools
  • Ability to follow instructions and directions
  • Must be safety conscious at all times
  • Must be dependable and have good attendance and punctuality

Maintenance Staff

Part-time (Full-time dependent on need) / Wage: $17.00 – $20.00, DOE

 

Empower Tehama seeks experienced Maintenance Staff to join the team of a dynamic and growing organization in Red Bluff, CA. A minimum of one year of practical experience in building maintenance and/or grounds keeping desirable. First aid certification preferred.

 

Maintenance performs both skilled and unskilled tasks in the upkeep and repair of all Empower Tehama facilities and grounds. This includes the Business Center, the Counseling Center, and the Child Advocacy Center. Under minimal supervision, Maintenance is responsible for keeping the buildings and grounds clean and orderly; properly maintained and in compliance with federal, state, local, and municipal ordinances; fleet management of all Empower Tehama vehicle(s) including scheduled maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and general vehicle upkeep.

 

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and implement maintenance programs for all locations and outbuildings belonging to the organization.
  • Coordinate and assist with trade skills such as building and related equipment repairs.
  • Paint, re-paint and other touch-ups as needed to maintain the facility.
  • Check appliances and equipment as to operational safety on a scheduled basis and as needed. Perform regular and routine maintenance of all equipment.
  • General cleanup of all areas on campus to ensure a safe environment.
  • Verify locks on doors and windows are well maintained and secure on an on-going basis.
  • May order, pick up, deliver and maintain inventory of furniture, materials, equipment, and supplies used in the work place.
  • Set up and dismantle furniture, chairs, tables and other equipment for various events.
  • Report fire, sanitation or other hazards to proper sources.
  • May be required to drive occasionally for agency business. May be required to serve “on-call” for facility emergencies related to worksite locations.

Requirements:

  • High school or equivalent; able to read and follow instructions, write legibly.
  • Valid California Driver’s License and evidence of insurance.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to keep regular schedules and perform special tasks as assigned.

Victim Advocate (First Responder)
