DEFINITION:
Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator or Program Specialist II and as a part of the case
management team, assists in providing transition services for adult offenders on probation, parole or in a

communication with clients, staff, parole agents, probation officers, sheriff staff and other agencies. The
Case Manager I – Butte Community Based Coalition (BCBC) works with a variety of at-risk and high risk adults. Responsibilities:

Under the general direction of the Emergency Winter Shelter Manager, the Assistant Manager provides for the day to day clinical operation of the shelter, as well as employee development and supervision.

The EWS Assistant Manager supports P.A.T.H.’s mission of assisting homelessness to independence by providing direct service, supervision and management of the EWS, staff and to program participants, helping them adapt to community living and program policies, and ensuring effective operation of the shelter program.

  • Develop a solid, harm-reduction model-based relationship with guests within the program, while adhering fairly, with all guests to EWS policies and procedures.
  • Assure a safe, supportive, organized environment within the shelter.
  • Assist guests with shelter routine and support them in following all shelter procedures.
  • Help guests work through conflict with others living in the shelter; creating and maintaining an emotionally and physically safe atmosphere.
  • Ensure that staff report their observations of guests through a daily log in a professional and appropriate manner
  • Recruit and oversee volunteers.
  • Provide supervision and training to shelter employees, at the direction of the Shelter Manager.
  • Oversee daily operations, manage client services, liaise with the Shelter Manager.
  • Attend / prepare trainings, staff meetings, attend weekly check-ins with the Executive Director, attend meetings in the community pertinent to the organizations overall goals.

Ability To:

  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions of daily tasks to ensure productivity and timelines are met.
