On the Job Training, or OJT, is a partnership between the employer and the Job Training Center to get qualified candidates trained and working, and lower your hiring and training costs for the effort. Positions must be permanent; require at least four weeks of in-house training and paid a minimum of $13 per hour.
You receive a 50% reimbursement of the trainee’s wages during the training period. You also receive clear reimbursement terms and a schedule. The OJT includes a simple contract and process.
You receive free screening, assessment and referrals of applicants. You make the hiring decision and determine the job performance standards. Paperwork is kept at a minimum with assistance from a Job Training Center representative.
